These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bawn Pet Co. website, online store, and related services (the “Services”).

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • use the Services for fraudulent or harmful activity
  • interfere with the security or functionality of the Services
  • attempt to resell, scrape, or misuse the website or its content

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for breaches of these Terms or for behaviour we deem inappropriate or harmful.

3. Shopify Platform

Our website and store are hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the online e-commerce platform enabling us to sell products and process transactions.

Your use of the Services is also governed by Shopify’s terms, policies, and technical requirements.

4. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, nutritional information, and images are accurate. However:

  • natural variations may occur in pet-food products
  • packaging and formulations may change
  • product availability is not guaranteed

Allergy Notice:
You are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists before purchase. Bawn Pet Co is not liable for adverse reactions caused by allergies or intolerances.

5. Orders and Payments

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old
  • the information provided is accurate
  • you are authorised to use the payment method supplied

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel orders, including suspected fraudulent transactions.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify's payment partners. We do not store full payment card details.

6. Pricing and Availability

Prices include all applicable taxes (we are not VAT-registered at this time).
We reserve the right to:

  • change prices without prior notice
  • discontinue or update products
  • correct pricing errors

If a pricing error affects your order, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund.

7. Shipping

We currently ship within the United Kingdom.

Shipping timeframes displayed at checkout are estimates only. Delays outside our control (e.g., courier issues, weather, strikes) do not constitute a breach of contract.

You will receive tracking or delivery updates where available. A full Shipping Policy will be added when applicable.

8. Returns & Refunds (Pet Food)

Because we sell perishable pet-food products, our return rules differ from general retail.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery only if the item is:

  • unopened
  • sealed
  • unused
  • in original condition

Opened or used pet-food products cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons.

Right to Cancel (Distance Selling)

For most online purchases, UK law allows consumers 14 days to cancel their order. This right does not apply to:

  • perishable goods
  • items unsealed after delivery for health or hygiene reasons

Most pet food is considered perishable, so cancellations may be limited once the product has been dispatched.

9. Risk and Title

Ownership of products transfers to you once:

  • payment has been received in full, and
  • the item has been delivered to the address you provided.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.

10. User Accounts

If you create an account:

  • you must keep your login details secure
  • you are responsible for all activity conducted through your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

11. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • misrepresent yourself
  • engage in fraudulent returns
  • bypass website protections
  • upload harmful code
  • attempt to reverse-engineer the Services
  • use the website for commercial purposes without our consent

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Services — including branding, images, text, product descriptions, and website design — is owned by Bawn Pet Co or its licensors and protected by UK copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or modify any part of the Services without written permission.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Shopify features, social media integrations). We are not responsible for:

  • their privacy practices
  • their availability

  • Bawn Pet Co is not liable for losses arising from misuse of the products
  • Bawn Pet Co is not liable for allergic reactions to pet-food ingredients
  • Bawn Pet Co is not responsible for courier delays once goods are handed to the carrier
  • Our liability is capped at the total amount paid for the affected order

16. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters
  • supply-chain disruptions
  • strikes
  • transport issues
  • pandemics
  • regulatory changes

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Consumers may still bring legal claims in their own local UK jurisdiction.
